Good report from www.emarketer.com:
"Recipe Websites Get Fat in Lean Times"
I'm actually pretty surprised how rapidly BigOven.com is sneaking up on the venerable leader in recipes. (In October 2008, BigOven had approximately 3 million unique visitors, roughly 30% of AllRecipes.com.)
AllRecipes.com reports that their annual survey of cooks indicates that 80% of respondents plan to cook more at-home meals this year (most likely due to budget reasons).
